Use these with your small group or on your own this week.
Connection
- What do you remember most from last week’s sermon?
- How did you hear God’s voice or sense His presence this past week?
- What are you looking forward to most this week?
Reflection
- Summarize this week’s sermon in one to three sentences. What was the main point of the message?
- What did the message say about you, God’s people or the world?
Application
- Why did Paul suffer for Christ? Paul experienced rejection, persecution, and hardship because he was committed to preaching the Gospel. Why was he willing to suffer for Christ rather than simply avoid conflict or protect his own comfort? What does Paul’s example teach us about the value he placed on the Gospel and his calling?

Additional reading: 1 Corinthians 13:11, Hebrews 10:24–25 - How can we mature in our own faith and help others become more mature in Christ? Who has helped you become more mature in Christ, and how could you do something similar for someone else?
- What are ways I can better align the purpose of my life with sharing the Gospel? God has given each of us different opportunities, relationships, abilities, and responsibilities. What would it look like for you to intentionally make sharing the Gospel part of your everyday life? Are there people, places, or areas of your life where God may be giving you an opportunity to represent Christ more intentionally?
