Welcome to the Five Mile Community Garden – The Garden of Eatin’!

This Community Garden was started as a way to reach out and serve our neighbors in the Five Mile area back in 2013.

The goal of the garden is to:

  • Provide a fun and interactive environment where people of all ages can learn and work together to grow nutritious food for our families, neighbors and local food banks.
  • Donate as much produce as we can to local food banks, and to families we know that need some help and encouragement.
  • Provide an inviting, safe and relaxing place where people can enjoy one another and God’s creation, while getting in some exercise at the same time!

‘The Garden of Eatin’ is an Organic Garden where we use only products and procedures that are beneficial to the soil, the air, the animals and the people. So, we do not allow any synthetic chemicals, fertilizers, herbicides or pesticides to be used within or around the area.  We want our practices to be sustainable and enriching to our environment.
