When we baptize, it’s full water immersion—just like how Jesus was baptized.

WHY GET BAPTIZED?
Baptism doesn’t make you a believer; it’s a way to show that you already believe. It doesn’t save you—only your faith in Jesus does that.
It’s a powerful picture of Jesus’ burial and resurrection, and it symbolizes the brand-new life you have as a follower of Christ.

WHO SHOULD GET BAPTIZED?
Anyone who has put their trust in Jesus! At NHCC, we wait until kids are old enough to fully understand what it means to follow Christ before baptizing them.
CLEARING UP MISCONCEPTIONS ABOUT BAPTISM
- Myth #1: Only kids or “super Christians” get baptized.
Fact: Baptism is for anyone who’s decided to follow Jesus and wants to go public with their faith. Whether you’re a kid understanding your faith or an adult, you’re welcome to take this step. - Myth #2: You have to share your story in front of everyone.
Fact: Sharing your story is important, but we make it easy by encouraging you to do what God calls you to, from sharing a testimony, to a bible verse, or simply being prayed for and baptized. - Myth #3: I was baptized as a baby/child, so I shouldn’t do it again.
Fact: Baptism is all about your personal decision to follow Jesus. If you were baptized as a baby, we encourage you to be baptized when you're able to make that decision personally.
